Reliable and reassuring, the Nitesafe Duo-Lux is an entry-level safety night light that never needs batteries. Simply put it into its charging cradle and plug it into your mains. This will ensure it’s always charged, so even in the event of a power cut, you still have emergency illumination when it’s dark. Can also be used as a hand-held 4-LED torch, with a run time of up to 2 hours in Power Failure mode.
The Duo weighs just over 100g and has two different night illumination settings. Motion Sensor activates the light for 15-20 seconds, whenever movement is detected – handy if you need to get out of bed in the middle of the night but don’t want to fumble about with the light switches. The sensor will provide night vision from 3 metres, enough to get your bearings in the event of initial uncertainty in the darkness.
If you switch to the Dusk to Dawn option, the light comes on automatically when it’s dark, and turns itself off when it becomes light. If you need to go and investigate further, it’s also ready for action as a conventional hand Torch. Take it out of the cradle and it will switch on automatically.
Primarily intended for use in the home, this night light is versatile for use in other locations too. Plug one in as a ready back-up light for the shed or garage. Take one with you when travelling so you can quickly feel at home in unfamiliar places such as a caravan, hotel room, holiday home or AirBnB.
